Officers were called shortly after 10.40pm on Thursday 9 April to an address at Dent Close, Lapwing Lane, Brinnington to a disturbance involving reports of a suspected firearms discharge. There were no injuries reported in relation to the matter and officers are continuing enquiries in order to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
As part of the investigation, five men, aged between 17 and 45 were arrested on suspicion of affray and have since been bailed.
