Man charged after prisons operation

We have charged a 24-year-old man with several offences, following a long-running partnership operation led by our North Manchester Challenger team.

Christopher Thornton (15/04/01) of Gresham Street, Denton, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and cocaine, and conspiring to convey prohibited article into a prison.

He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow (16 January 2026).
