A man has been arrested following a suspected arson in Bolton on Wednesday evening.
It comes after police we called at around 9.20pm on Wednesday 10 June 2026 to a suspected arson at an address on Eastgrove Avenue.
Emergency services attended the scene and thankfully, all occupants were safely evacuated with no injuries.
Today (Friday 12 June 2026), a man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of arson and remains in custody for questioning.
Our enquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Sharples said: “Our investigation is progressing, and we now have a suspect in custody who is being questioned by our officers.
“We will not accept incidents like this in our communities; we take this very seriously. Those found responsible will be brought to justice.
