Officers on patrol on Hall Street at around 10:20pm last night (10/6/26) stopped a suspicious car.
Inside the vehicle they found a knife and arrested a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. She remains in custody for further questioning.
Officers attended a nearby address and recovered a significant amount of drugs, suspected to be MDMA and cannabis resin, and about £10k in cash.
A number of mobile phones have also been recovered and will be forensically examined.
As part of our investigation, officers have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. He is in police custody this morning (Friday 12 June 2026).
Superintendent Phil Spurgeon, of our Bury district, said: “This yet another example of positive, proactive action taken by our officers.
“If you are out there, intent on committing a criminal offence – whether that is dealing drugs, carrying a weapon or breaking into houses or cars – we are out and about 24 hours a day and you will be caught.”
