Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for information following a collision between multiple cars in Wigan.
At around 1pm today (06/05/26) officers responded to an incident on Warrington Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, where the driver of a BMW i3 suffered a suspected medical episode and collided with five other vehicles.
Four people, including two drivers and two passengers, have been taken to hospital where they are currently being treated:
No arrests have been made at this time.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue their investigation and are urging anyone with information to please come forward.
This includes anyone who saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or has dashcam footage of the incident.
