At around 10pm on Sunday 8 December 2019, police were called to Church Street, Eccles to reports of a firearms discharge.
The offender was described as a man wearing dark clothing and is believed to have made off in a grey people carrier.
No one was injured and no arrests have yet been made. Enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Joanne Kay, of the Salford district said: “Fortunately no one was hurt in this instance; however I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this crime very seriously and are doing all we can to find those responsible.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone that was on or around Church Street at the time of this incident and may have heard or seen anything unusual or suspicious.”
