Police are appealing for information after a man died following a collision in Trafford

At around 8am on Friday 6 March 2020, police were called to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and car on Whitecarr Lane.
Officers attended and established that a red Kawasaki motorcycle collided with an oncoming black Volkswagon Caddy.
The rider – a 30-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and is receiving support.
The driver of the VW stopped at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
An investigation is underway.
Sergeant Matt Picton, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This incident sadly resulted in the death of a man and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this devastating time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would like to use this opportunity to appeal to anyone with information or dash cam footage which may assist us to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
