Today, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service led an eye-opening RTC reconstruction in Bolton town centre, showing the realities of a serious collision and how our emergency services respond in real time.

This morning, officers executed a warrant on Chulsey Street, seizing over £250K worth of stolen goods, including pressure washers and other high-value items. A big win for #OpAVRO in tackling neighborhood crime!
Earlier today, officers executed a warrant on Chulsey Street, uncovering a large number of suspicious items. After further investigation, it's been confirmed that the goods, including pressure washers and other high value items, were stolen. As a result, over £250K worth of stolen goods have been seized. Fantastic work from the team in cracking down on neighborhood crime and a big win for #OpAVRO.
We've had over 20 arrests, we've seized several stolen vehicles, and confiscated over £250K of stolen or counterfeit property.
Today, alongside Trading Standards, we carried out an operation in Bolton, with the help of our amazing sniffer dogs, to get counterfeit, dangerous and illegal products off the streets.
As a result, several items were seized, helping to protect our community and keep people safe.

Meet Skye, our four-legged partner in fighting crime! Today, Skye is helping GMP and trading standards sniff out potential issues during #OpAVRO. From counterfeit goods to illegal vapes, nothing escapes our dogs noses!
We’ve now made 20 arrests as part of #OpAVRO!
The arrests include suspects for serious offences such as sexual exploitation, rape, handling stolen goods, child neglect, drug-related offenses, stalking, harassment, and more.
We are working to ensure that criminals across Bolton and Greater Manchester are held accountable for their actions and that our communities remain safe.
Our traffic operation is underway as part of #OpAVRO! This is part of our work to turbo charge efforts tackle neighbourhood crime in a different area each month.
We’re working with the DVSA to make our roads safer. This multi-agency effort targets illegal road use and ensures vehicles are safe to be on the road.
So far, we've stopped several vehicles, engaged with drivers, checked documentation, and removed uninsured vehicles from the road. We're continuing to work with DVSA to inspect vehicles and ensure they’re safe for our roads.
A traffic operation is underway as part of #OpAVRO, working alongside our partners including the Driver and Vehcile Standards Agency to make our roads safer. This multi-agency effort focused on tackling those who are using our roads illegally and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
So far we have stopped several vehicles, checked documentation, taken uninsured vehicles off the road, and are continuing to work with DVSA to inspect them to ensure they're safe to be on our roads. It’s all part of our work to improve road safety across Greater Manchester.
