Operation AVRO - Tameside
A new force-wide initiative - codenamed Operation AVRO - which will run each month in a different district.

An information stall has been set up by the Neighbourhood Policing team in Ashton, offering students advice and information regarding sexual exploitation.
The Hyde Werneth Team have conducted a joint visit to the EMR scrap metal yard with Tameside Council this morning, followed by weapons sweeps on Simpson St (surrounding Asda in Hyde) and along the disused railway track in Gee Cross.

Officers in #Denton are attending a street briefing at Crown Point which is being led by Inspector Abs Hussain. ACC Chris Sykes has also joined the officers ahead of their afternoon of activity for Operation AVRO.
