This afternoon, officers executed a warrant in response to concerns about a potential cannabis farm in #Tameside. This was part of a series of warrants to target suspected cannabis farms and to disrupt serious and organised crime across the district.

Earlier today our officers along with our partners seized a haul of potentially harmful products that have been taken off the streets of Greater Manchester.
Our joint activity will continue as a show of strength to the criminals, and to reassure the community that we remain committed to protecting them.
We're tackling drivers using our roads illegally across Tameside today. This morning we arrested an individual on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified.
Several other offences are being tackled too, including speeding, using mobiles behind the wheel, vehicles on the road illegally, and other offences.
Our tactical mounted unit has deployed to Hyde town centre. They're out doing hi-vis patrols across Tameside today to reassure the community and deter criminality.
Our team are in Clarendon Shopping Centre giving out crime prevention advice and information.
We're running a knife arch in Tameside today at major transport hubs as part of our work to tackle knife crime and keep our communities safe.
The law is changing on 24th September 2024 and to help reduce knife crime, it will be against the law to own zombie-style knives and machetes from 24 September 2024.
To help reduce knife crime, you can take these to some police stations to dispose of them, and if the blade is eligible, you may be able to claim compensation for any items you hand in.

Our team in Tameside have discovered a huge cannabis farm on Katherine Street in Ashton. Work is underway to disrupt and dismantle the illegal operation as part of our ongoing work to tackle serious and organised crime and to protect and safeguard vulnerable people.
A multi-agency street briefing has taken place in Ashton-under-lyne attended by our officers, staff, and various partners from other agencies and local authorities.
We were also lucky enough to be joined by our beautiful four-pawed friend pictured below!
