Retail crime

GMP will be working with partners and retailers to clamp down on criminals seeking to take advantage of crowded stores and high streets this festive season.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, when retail crime increases, we will further support the retail sector by increasing visibility in our town centres and on our high streets and by maintaining regular contact with retailers.

Neighbourhood teams across the force are committed to tackling retail crime, ensuring the safety of staff, and assisting stores as they continue to combat the issues arising from shoplifters.
