Below is a summary of activity we've undertaken as part of the Safe4Summer campaign across Rochdale:
Local officers have been out in Heywood town centre in a bid to tackle anti-social behavior (ASB) and engage with members of the community.
Within minutes of being out on patrol, officers spotted a prolific female offender who was wanted for five shoplifting offences and three breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and made a swift arrest. The woman was also found in possession of goods she had just stolen from a local retailer.

Officers across Rochdale and the Transport Unit, have been working in partnership with the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) and Wolverhampton taxi licencing, conducting a routine traffic operation. This comes following concerns reported from the local community around issues including speeding and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
During the operation, officers issued a total of 70 traffic offence reports for a range of offences, including non-compliant number plates, unsecure loads, and speeding.
These checks are vital in ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and not being used to enable crime or ASB, in turn keeping members of our community safe.

Officers and partners have undertaken multiple traffic operations around the Queensway area of Rochdale, which is a hotspot for speeding, drug driving, and other road traffic offences.
The latest two operations resulted in five vehicles being seized for no insurance and 111 Traffic Offence Reports being issued for a range of offences, including speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, and the use of
non-conforming number plates.
