Below is a summary of activity we've undertaken as part of the Safe4Summer campaign across Trafford:
Trafford neighbourhood officers and traffic officers were working together to conduct a speeding operation on a key route between Salford and Trafford.
Following intelligence and reports from the community, officers were on Redclyffe Road looking out for the Fatal 4. Fatal 4 behaviours includes: speeding, driving under the influence of drink or drugs, not wearing a seatbelt, and mobile phone use.
The first car seen on the operation was stopped due to being in an unroadworthy condition and was later found to have no insurance, so it was seized.
Further offences seen by officers included:
- 11 offences of driving whilst using a mobile phone
- 15 offences of driving without wearing a seatbelt

Officers have been out tackling antis-social behaviour in the local community.
While on the Sale West estate, officers came across a quad bike being used antisocially and illegally on the road without third-party insurance.
As a result, the vehicle was seized, and the driver was reported for the offences commited.
