GMP Information Session’s – Student Officer Job Share

GMP is excited to offer the opportunity to join Greater Manchester Police as a Student Officer on a job share basis. This is a part time vacancy only. If you are considering the role of a full time Officer please do not apply for this event as no transfers will be accommodated.

This will involve the exact same duties that are expected of a warranted Police Constable but working 50% of the shift pattern whilst another officer works the other 50%. Therefore working an average of 20 hours per week on early, afternoon and night shifts including weekends and public holidays.

The initial training programme would be extended to 40 weeks part time to ensure to cover the same initial training programme to equip you to be a police officer in Greater Manchester Police and selection requirements will be exactly the same as full time officers.

The ‘Be a force for all’ campaign is the biggest national recruitment drive in decades for new police officers across the UK over the next three years. Greater Manchester Police are pleased to be part of this campaign and look forward to the exciting times ahead for the force, current recruitment is significant and this will continue to be so.

We are committed to achieving an inclusive and diverse workforce reflective of the communities we serve. We are also interested in candidates who have any of the language skills that are reflective of the communities that GMP serves.

GMP would like to invite female and black, Asian and minority ethnic potential candidates to a Job Share information session which will be your opportunity to get answers to any questions that you may have in relation to the role.

If you are female or black, Asian and minority ethnic and interested in a potential career with GMP as a Job Share Constable then please use the link to register for the information session and we will send you an email of confirmation once your place is booked.
