Your salary will be dependent on the role you take when you join GMP’s Force Contact Centre and the shifts you work.
- Call handler: salary can start from £33,000.
- Crime Recording and Resolution Officer: salary can start from up to £27k (rotating shifts 24/7 including weekends); up to £25k (shifts 7am-9pm including weekends); up to £22k (Monday to Friday, 4pm-9pm)
- Dispatch role: salary can start from up to £33,000
As part of the Force Contact Centre team, your salary rises through annual increments. There’s also a huge variety of progression opportunities, subject to performance.

As an employee of the Force Contact Centre, you’ll be able to join the Blue Light Card discount service. The card gives access to thousands of discounts when you shop with well-known retailers and local businesses.
