Greater Manchester Police’s Mental Health Tactical Advice Service (MHTAS) are based in the Force Contact Centre, the team were established in 2018, and they are trained mental health practitioners available 24/7 to offer advice and guidance to officers on response who are called to mental health crisis.

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace family of man from Heywood, Rochdale. Joseph Lee Healey, 89, passed away at an address on Bury Old Road, Heywood on Saturday 21 November 2020. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Anyone with information about Joseph's next of kin should contact the Police Coroner’s Office in Rochdale on 0161 856 8497.
