Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers and a dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). These are supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on the basics: to fight, prevent and reduce crime, whilst keeping people safe and caring for victims.

Speeding and other traffic related offences on priority routes throughout the Bolton North area at peak times. Priority route in Smithills is Moss Bank Way. Peak times are mid to late afternoon.

Targeted action to detect speeding vehicles on major routes throughout Bolton North under Operation Classify. Your local officers will target and deal with road users who place other rose users and pedestrians at risk.

Your local officers will be following up on all reports of vehicle crime, collecting any available CCTV to identify those responsible and arrest them. We will also be using Bee in the Loop to send out crime prevention advice.
