I am Inspector Kat Murray, and I have ownership of the neighbourhood policing for Alt, Holts, Hathershaw, Alexandra, Glodwick, St Mary’s, Oldham town centre, Westwood and Coldhurst.
I joined Greater Manchester Police over 20years ago, starting as a PCSO in Oldham. After 2years I joined as a Police officer, also based at Oldham. I have remained here ever since. I class Oldham as my second home.

I am extremely passionate about making Oldham a safe place to live, work and visit as is my team.

We are aware of the issues each community is facing and are working hard with our partners to resolve these issues. It is just as important to us as it is to you. However, we can’t do this alone. We have launched a service called Bee in the loop, which allows you to contact your local officer directly about the issues that are impacting you the most.

I am Sgt Iqbal and I manage the Alexandra ward. I joined GMP in May 2004 and I have worked Oldham district the entirety of my service. I moved into neighbourhood policing in September 2006 where I worked as a neighbourhood beat officer on the Town Centre area. I became a neighbourhood beat sergeant in June 2020 and moved to the Alexandra area. I am passionate about my role and truly wish to make a difference to local communities I serve. My small team is full of dedicated and experienced staff who are passionate about problem solving. My team are keen to work with local partners, key stakeholders and the local community to improve quality of life for our residents.

Current Responsibilities
As a Neighbourhood Officer within the Alexandra area, I work closely with residents, businesses, schools, community groups, and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety. My role includes tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, disrupting drug-related activity, supporting vulnerable individuals, and developing long-term solutions to local issues.
Through regular high-visibility patrols, intelligence gathering, and partnership working, I help deter offending, address road safety concerns such as speeding and nuisance vehicles, and maintain public confidence in policing.

Commitment to Community Engagement
Community engagement is central to my role as a Neighbourhood Officer. I am committed to building strong relationships with residents, businesses, schools, and partner agencies to understand local concerns and ensure policing priorities reflect community needs.
Through high-visibility foot patrols, community meetings, school visits, and engagement events, I remain accessible and approachable while encouraging residents to share information about crime, drug dealing, anti-social behaviour, and road safety issues. By working together with the community, I aim to build trust, promote problem-solving, and help make Alexandra a safer and more welcoming place for all.

I am PC 04008 Suleman and I am currently the neighbourhood officer for the Alexandra Ward, and I have been an officer for the past 5 years.
My role is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety.
My current focus includes Fly-tipping, Drug dealing and supporting long-term problem solving within the community. I regularly attend neighbourhood engagement events and work with local partners to tackle the issues that matter most to residents.
I encourage members of the community to attend local meetings and share their concerns so that together we can help make our neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.

PCSO Vicky Foden
Neighbourhood PCSO – Alexandra Ward
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 22 years and currently work as the neighbourhood PCSO on the Alexandra Ward. My role involves working with residents, local businesses, and partner agencies to address crime, anti-social behaviour and other issues affecting the local community.
My current priorities include reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence through visible neighbourhood policing. I regularly attend engagement events and community meetings and work closely with partner organisations to identify and resolve local issues.
I encourage residents to speak with me at local events and share any concerns so we can work together to improve the area.
