On Sunday 1 March, we were called to an address on Stoneleigh Road, Oldham at around 5:12pm following reports of a serious assault.
Our specialist CSE Major Investigation Team are continuing to make progress with complex, non-recent CSE cases, as our wider teams also tackle reports of modern-day CSE, such as the case of Omar Saif (pictured) who has been jailed.
Shortly before 6.30am on Thursday 19 February 2026, we were called to reports of a bin fire at a property at Bardsley Street, Oldham.
The S60 order – which gives officers additional stop and search powers – that was put in place of Thursday 12 February, has been extended until 6.30pm tonight (Saturday 14 February).
In the early hours of this morning, officers from our Wigan Domestic Abuse Teams and Neighbourhood Tasking Teams made three arrests in relation to breach of protection orders, domestic abuse and harassment.

Your local officers will be conducting organised operational enforcement along with assistance by specialist roads policing officers in the area and dealing with motorists who commit any of the FATAL 5 offences (Speeding, Driving Whilst Distracted, No Seatbelt, driving whilst drunk and driving whilst under the influence of drugs).
