I am Stu Berry, Police Inspector, covering Saddleworth & Lees, Royton, Shaw and Crompton, St James & Waterhead.

I’ve worked for GMP for 20 years covering various areas and in a variety of specialist and non-specialist roles including Chairman of Greater Manchester Police Federation. I am a resident of Oldham, and I am passionate about making our community safer, reducing crime and antisocial behaviour.

My team and I understand the local issues which can range from antisocial behaviour drugs offences and serious acquisitive crime. My officers and staff are, and will continue, to work hard day and night to ensure that we can provide an effective neighbourhood policing strategy.

My ask from the local community is that you work alongside my team and I and provide information and intelligence which can be implemented into our policing response to local issues. That flow of information and intelligence from the community will give us the tools to do the job. It is vital for our ongoing endeavours to be proactive and bring people to justice.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 22 years and have been the Neighbourhood Sergeant for Saddleworth and Lees since March 2026. My role is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety.
My current focus includes reducing crime, tackling anti-social behaviour, addressing concerns raised by local residents, in particular speeding across the area of Saddleworth and supporting long term problem solving within the community. I regularly attend neighbourhood meetings, community engagement events and work alongside local partners to address the issues that matter most to residents. Saddleworth and Lees is a proud and vibrant community, and I am committed to ensuring that both I and my team remain visible, approachable and responsive to local concerns. We continue to work proactively to prevent crime, safeguard vulnerable people and improve the quality of life for everyone who lives, works and visits the area. You will most certainly see myself and the team out on patrol/ dealing with incidents so we welcome you to come and say hi and ask any questions that you have with regards to the Policing of Saddleworth and Lees.

I am James Peddar, Police Contable and I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 6 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for Saddleworth South. My role is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety.
My current focus includes anti-social driving, wildlife and rural crime and supporting long-term problem solving within the community. I regularly attend neighbourhood engagement events and work with local partners to tackle the issues that matter most to residents.

I am Mike Lowther, a Police Community Support Officer. I have had the privilege of serving the Saddleworth North community in Oldham for the past 23 years. Having grown up locally and attended Saddleworth secondary school, I have a strong connection to the area and a deep understanding of the communities.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with residents, schools, local businesses, and partner agencies to help keep Saddleworth a safe and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
