Officers investigating the ongoing moorland fires at Dovestones Reservoir which began on Saturday 11 July 2026, have made two further arrests.
Officers from our Oldham Neighbourhood Team executed two warrants yesterday morning (11/07/2026) in relation to ongoing anti-social use of e-bikes and Surron bikes, particularly in the St Mary's area.
Emergency services responded to an incident at Dovestone Reservoir, Oldham at around 7pm yesterday evening (10/07/26).
Overnight, officers from our Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit (TVIU) arrested a man in his 20s after he led them on a pursuit which ended in West Yorkshire in a stole vehicle that was taken from Prestwich in Bury the night before.
Our Oldham neighbourhood officers are continuing to act on the issues you are telling us about in Oldham.
Neighbourhood Crime - Anti-Social Behaviour, e-bikes and Drug supply are our priorities, we are also working with other departments to disrupt organised crime groups in the St Marys area.

There have been a number of warrants executed by specialist resources in the St Marys area to tackle organised crime and drugs. The Neighbourhood team have seized a number of vehicles and e-bikes that were used for antisocial behaviour..

Your local neighbourhood officers will be targeting reports of ASB in the area. There are dedicated officers for this during peak times. We will continue to remain visible in the area working alongside partner agencies.

We will continue to remain visible in this area whilst working with our partners to ensure referrals and diversionary work is completed with these individuals at an early stage

Drug dealing – Your Neighbourhood team understand the impact the drug dealing / supply can cause a community and the detrimental effect it can have on families. We are working hard to disrupt these individuals within the St Mary’s area

Your Neighbourhood team are engaging with young people around the danger of drug use by delivering inputs to school children. This will continue when the schools restart in September. Officers are also conducting high visibility patrols in know areas known for drug use and dealing. We can not do this without your help. Please contact your local officer with any information that can help.
