I am Amreek Singh, Inspector, posted to Stockport District, covering Marple and Hazel Grove. I have worked in GMP since November 2022 having transferred from the Metropolitan Police Service, where I worked a variety of roles where I worked my way through to Inspector. I have dedicated my service to every area including Response, Neighbourhood, Custody Sergeant, Pro-active community engagement teams and working on youth engagement with the aim in reducing serious youth violence and improving trust and confidence.
I have a degree in Criminology and Cultural Studies (BSc Hons). I feel privileged to hold the office of Constable and hold the responsibility for keeping so many people safe, improving trust and confidence with communities across Greater Manchester. I am very passionate working with partners in making our communities safe and free of crime. So far, the role has been extremely rewarding, especially leading a dedicated team of committed police officers and staff, working with our community, partners and stakeholders.
My door is always open, as is it for all my teams and we will continue to work with you all to solve the issues in our community.
