I have almost 29 years of policing service, the majority of which has been spent in neighbourhood policing roles as a Police Constable, Sergeant, and now Inspector.
I am passionate about neighbourhood policing and see it as a genuine privilege to serve the communities of East Stockport. My focus is on working with residents, partners, and local organisations to tackle local priorities, solve problems, prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, and help build safer, stronger neighbourhoods.
I firmly believe in a ""You Said, We Did"" approach, ensuring that community concerns help shape our policing activity wherever possible.
Residents can engage with me through local community events and Area Committee Meetings, held every six weeks, where there is a dedicated Neighbourhood Policing update and opportunities to raise local issues, ask questions, and help influence local policing priorities.
I am proud to serve East Stockport and remain committed to listening, engaging, and working alongside our communities to make a positive difference.
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for four years and currently lead the neighbourhood policing team covering Hazel Grove and Offerton. As Neighbourhood Sergeant, I am responsible for setting local policing priorities, overseeing problem-solving activity and ensuring that community concerns are reflected in our day-to-day policing approach.
A key part of my role is working with partner agencies, local organisations and elected representatives to tackle the issues that have the greatest impact on residents. I am particularly committed to long-term problem solving, safeguarding vulnerable people and building public confidence through effective neighbourhood policing. By listening to our communities and working together, we can continue to make Hazel Grove and Offerton safer and stronger places to live. "
With approximately 23 years' service in Greater Manchester Police, I have spent much of my career in frontline policing and currently serve as the Neighbourhood Officer for Offerton. My extensive experience has provided me with a strong understanding of the challenges facing local communities and the importance of visible, accessible policing.
My focus is on tackling anti-social behaviour, addressing shop theft, and working closely with schools, businesses and partner agencies to identify and deal with offenders. I regularly attend community meetings and engagement events, helping residents have a direct voice in local policing. I am passionate about supporting the community and ensuring Offerton remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone. "
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 7 years as a Neighbourhood Officer for the Offerton and Hazel Grove beats.
My role is to be a known face in the communities I serve and be approachable for residents to inform me of their concerns.
I work closely with partner agencies, such as Stockport Council, housing, schools, shops and the other emergency services. This enables me to problem solve and tackle issues as they arise and negotiate solutions for more longer-term concerns.
I regularly hold Police Surgeries and stalls to engage with the public to offer advice on crime prevention.
My current responsibilities are to support local residents as we head towards the night’s drawing in – helping them to reduce the chance of them being victims of burglary and be a visible presence to prevent anti-social behaviour over the Halloween and bonfire periods
