I am Police Inspector Jason Holmwood and have ownership of the Neighbourhood Policing Teams for Stockport Town Centre, Shaw Heath, Manor, Woodbank, Brinnington, Lancashire Hill, Edgeley, Alexandra Park, Cheadle Heath, Adswood and Bridgehall.

I joined Great Manchester Police in 2021 after starting my policing career with Avon and Somerset Police in 2009; based predominantly in Bristol. I have worked a variety of front-line uniformed roles and always enjoyed operational policing. I took over the Central Neighbourhood Inspector in October 2024 and am passionate about effective partnership working to ensure long term problem solving to best support our communities. I have worked in every rank as a Neighbourhood Beat officer starting as a local Police Community Support Officer to taking on this challenging and rewarding role today.

I am PC 6123 Gibson and am committed to building strong two-way relationships with the people of Heaton Norris and Lancashire Hill. I work with partner agencies and listen, understand and respond to the issues that matter to local people. I encourage members of the community to attend local meetings and share their concerns so that together we can help make our neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.

"I have served with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) for approximately 17 years, primarily covering the Lancashire Hill and Heaton Norris areas of Stockport. Throughout my service, I have developed extensive experience in neighbourhood policing, community engagement, and problem-solving.
I enjoy my role as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) because it allows me to make a positive difference within the communities I serve. A key aspect of my work involves addressing community concerns, including neighbourhood disputes, anti-social behaviour (ASB), low-level crime, and wider quality-of-life issues affecting residents.
I work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including local residents, landlords, housing providers, letting agencies, social services, council departments, and other partner agencies. By building strong working relationships and promoting multi-agency collaboration, I help tackle persistent issues such as anti-social behaviour, drug-related activity, and repeat offending.
My approach focuses on early intervention, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, problem-solving, and maintaining community confidence in policing. Through engagement, partnership working, and practical solutions, I strive to improve the safety and wellbeing of the communities within my policing area."
