Wigan

Wigan is situated on the River Douglas and sits between Manchester to the South East and Liverpool to the South West. Wigan boasts the Three Sisters Local Nature Reserve, which incorporates Wigan Flashes Nature reserve. The borough of Wigan consists of a number of urban mill towns, including Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley, as well as more rural areas such as Standish, Haigh and Aspull.
