A man who tried to hide a loaded handgun under artificial grass in a garden has been jailed for eight years after officers stormed a house and discovered it as part of a crackdown on gun crime.
At around 5.10pm on Tuesday 22 September 2020, police were called by the ambulance service responding to reports of a stabbing on Royal Oak Road, Wythenshawe. Officers attended and 45-year-old Lee Knott was taken to hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
