A proactive investigation launched by GMP anti-gang detectives has uncovered what police believe to be an organised crime group targeting commercial premises across Greater Manchester and Staffordshire. It’s believed that the suspects placed explosive devices into the ATM in order to access cash from within.

Andrew Talbot (14/06/70), who was posted to GMP’s Serious Crime Division, has been charged with two counts of possessing Class A drugs, possessing ammunition, failure to comply with a S.49 RIPA notice, theft, intent to supply Class A drugs, conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office, three counts of misconduct in public office, and three counts of accessing police systems without authority.

Nathan Mellor (25/04/95) of No Fixed Abode earlier this week (Monday 18 September) has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to robbery, attempt robbery and shoplifting.
