I am PS Daniel Richards. I joined GMP in May 2002 and have always worked in a front line capacity. I worked in Manchester City Centre for several years before moving to the Bolton Division in 2014. Coming from Bolton, I am genuinely proud to serve in my home town.
I am particularly familiar with the Farnworth and Great Lever areas as this is where I grew up and went to school. It is a privilege to be the Sergeant here as it means I am able to give something back to the area that has given me so much growing up.
I like to attend the local drop in's and meetings when able so please keep an eye on the dates and come along to have a chat. Hope to see you there soon.

Let me introduce myself
My Name is Mark and I have been a PCSO with GMP since the introduction of the role in late 2002
I have covered areas across the whole of Bolton in my time within the neighbourhood teams
I have also worked on various teams such as Challenger, Place based and Prevention.
In all my varied postings I have strived to deliver generational change
Raising awareness across communities of what they can do to keep themselves safe.
Currently based within the Bolton South Neighbourhood Team covering Highfield, Great Lever, Flower Estate and Bolton Hospital.
Happy to support any activities or groups in these areas that are interested in developing greater community cohesion and safer futures

Burglary
Action taken:
Officers are working closely with the Neighbourhood Crime Team to identify offenders responsible for Burglary. PCSOs will be giving a bespoke service to anyone who has been the victim of any burglary in the area.

Action taken:
Officers and PCSOs will be working alongside partners to look at ways of reducing incidents of ASB. Please make contact with us if you are having an issue in your area and we will arrange for you to be visited by your local NBO/PCSO.

Drug supply (Nitrous Oxide)
Action taken:
The team are working hard to identify those in our communities that are selling Nitrous Oxide cannisters illegitimately. When inhaled Nitrous Oxide can be harmful to individuals and when discarded in our communities they are unsightly and detrimental to the environment. The team will pursue and prosecute anyone found to be dealing nitrous oxide for use as a drug.
