I have worked for Greater Manchester Police for 10 years, starting as an apprentice member of staff, being a Police Constable for over 4 years and now a Police Sergeant for close to 3 years.
I have worked as part of neighbourhood teams in the past as staff and spent my officer career focusing on Response Policing. I have recently spent time as the Police Sergeant in the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, specialising in Burglaries, Robberies and Vehicle Crime across Bolton.
The local community is very important to me and I want to focus on the long term problems in Rumworth and Hulton that are affecting the residents.
Hello there, my name is Conor Finch. I am one of your neighbourhood officers, covering the areas of Rumworth and Deane in Bolton.
I have been with Greater Manchester Police since the Autumn of 2023. Before I became a neighbourhood officer,
I began my career with Greater Manchester Police after successfully enrolling in a graduate scheme in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University. The course enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the necessities of neighbourhood policing. Before this, I graduated from Lancaster University, where I studied Criminology. In addition to this, I also volunteered alongside my studies as a special constable and helped with local homeless charities.
I really enjoy working in neighbourhood policing, and each shift I can see the importance of the relationship between the community and the police. It is really refreshing to see when the community, police, and partners work together in tackling issues that occur on the community’s doorsteps. I will always give my all in trying to get the best solution to these issues and overall creating a more enjoyable and safer place for the residents to live.
If you see me around your area, please come and say hi and take the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. I am here to help!
