Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers and a dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). These are supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on the basics: to fight, prevent and reduce crime, whilst keeping people safe and caring for victims.
If you want to receive regular updates about what we're doing in your area, want to contact us easily with your feedback, or receive alerts about incidents, you can sign up to our community alerts system. You'll receive emails or text messages about the issues you tell us you want to know about.

You Said, We Did:
Speeding remains a priority for our team and Operation Halt continues to keep road users safe where we receive repeat complaints of speeding and other road related concerns.
Over the past few months, the local NPT team have been tackling reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the area particularly around abandoned vehicles, littering and drug use. We have been supported by the Council’s Housing Services and Anti-Social Behaviour team and have issued assisted in removing vehicles responsible.
Officers have conducted warrants obtained due to information received from the community in relation to drug supply. We will continue to target areas brought to our attention to disrupt this activity.
Our PCSO’s are attending schools regularly, helping to deliver safety messages to pupils across the borough. During drop off and pick up times they show presence to ensure that those who use vehicles do so in a safe and courteous manner.
Any information or concerns to report these via the GMP website or anonymously via CrimeStoppers using the telephone number 0800 555 111.
For any more general issues or if you wish to be placed in touch with your local Police Officer or PCSO please email [email protected] or call 0161 856 8204 (office hours).
