City of Manchester

Manchester City Centre is the central business district of Greater Manchester and covers 45 square miles, with an estimated population of around 18,000 people. The city has two large boroughs on the west and southwest; Salford and Trafford. Well-known Manchester landmarks include the Gothic-style town hall, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Imperial War Museum, as well as the Beetham Tower. The University of Manchester is one of the largest in the UK and the city is home to over 100,000 students.
