Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers and a dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). These are supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on the basics: to fight, prevent and reduce crime, whilst keeping people safe and caring for victims.

E-bike Enabled Theft, Robbery and Drugs and Knife Crime Offences
Action taken:
Conducting high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols in hotspot locations identified through crime pattern analysis.
•Working with our Neighbourhood Tasking Team, CCTV operators and local officers to identify, track and intercept e-bike enabled offenders.
•Targeting known offenders through home visits, warrants and intelligence-led activity.
•Seizing illegally modified e-bikes and taking enforcement action for associated traffic and drugs offences.
•Engaging with local businesses and delivery riders to provide crime-prevention advice and encourage reporting of suspicious activity. -

Retail Crime – Shoplifting
Action taken:
•Identify prolific shoplifters through crime reports, intelligence, and CCTV evidence.
•Conduct proactive patrols and pursue positive interventions, including arrests, Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs), and offender management plans.
•Develop strong partnerships with local businesses, store security teams, and retail crime groups.
•Work with retailers to improve store security, including CCTV coverage, product placement, staff training, and theft prevention initiatives.
•Apply the SARA model (Scan, Analyse, Respond, Assess) to address recurring issues.
•Work with partner agencies to support individuals whose offending is linked to substance misuse, homelessness, mental health issues, or financial hardship. -
Priority:
Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals from Cuckooing and Criminal Exploitation
Action taken:
•Use neighbourhood intelligence, community engagement, housing referrals, and safeguarding information to identify people at risk of exploitation.
•Conduct welfare visits and make referrals to social care, mental health services, substance misuse services, and safeguarding partners where appropriate.
•Work closely with housing providers, social services, health professionals, and community safety partnerships to share information lawfully and build a complete picture of risk.
•Encourage members of the public to report concerns promptly, helping agencies intervene earlier and protect victims.
•Ensure victims receive long-term support to reduce the likelihood of repeat exploitation and improve their resilience.
