I am Dan Pickavance, Inspector, covering Harpurhey, Higher Blackley, Charlestown, Moston and New Moston, Collyhurst and Monsall.

I’ve worked for GMP for 18 years covering various areas and in a variety of roles. I am passionate about making our community safe and free of crime.

I have a background in complex investigations, organised crime groups, urban street gangs as well as neighbourhood and local problem solving work here in Manchester.

I understand the issues in our areas and priorities the local resources accordingly. I have shown this by the operations I have set up focusing on knife crime, serious youth violence, drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.

My door is always open, as is all of my officers and staff for any questions concerns and updates required by the local community we serve.

We continue to try and solve the issues in our community, rest assured we are working tirelessly to make our community safer.

Neighbourhood Sergeant – Harpurhey

I have recently transferred to Greater Manchester Police and currently work as a Neighbourhood Sergeant based at Harpurhey Police Station. I have previous experience of working part of neighbourhood Policing.

I am keen to build and further my experiences of Neighbourhoods.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for nine years and currently work as a Neighbourhood Sergeant based at Harpurhey Police Station. Most of my policing experience comes from response policing, which has given me a strong understanding of the issues affecting our communities and the importance of visible and accessible policing.

I now lead a neighbourhood team focused on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, protecting vulnerable people and working with residents and partner agencies to find long-term solutions to local issues.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for five years and currently work as a Neighbourhood Sergeant based at Harpurhey Police Station. I have worked part of the neighbourhood policing Team for the past year and have a strong understanding of the issues affecting our communities and the importance of visible and accessible policing.

I now lead a neighbourhood team focused on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, protecting vulnerable people and take a lead role on our Operation Eagle Eye.

PCSO Malcolm Pelham - Charlestown
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for five years and currently work as a Police community support officer based at Harpurhey Police Station. Most of my experience working for Greater Manchester Police comes from working as a PCSO in Crumpsall, which has given me a strong understanding of the issues affecting our communities and the importance of visible and accessible policing.
I am now a member of the Harpurhey neighbourhood team, my beat area is around Charlestown, where I’m focused on tackling crime, anti-social behaviour, protecting vulnerable people and working with residents and partner agencies to find long-term solutions to local issues.

Neighbourhood Constable – Harpurhey / PC Mullin

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for four years and currently work as a Neighbourhood constable based at Harpurhey Police Station. The majority of my policing experience comes from neighbourhood policing, where during my service, I have worked predominantly within the North Manchester division.

The neighbourhood team which I work for focuses on the key issues affecting the community and often work proactively to address these issues such as serious youth violence and drug related offences to name a few.

Working within neighbourhood policing has enabled me to understand the needs and requirements of local residents and the importance of working with partner agencies to find long-term solutions to local issues.
