Our city centre neighbourhood team has welcomed 12 new officers to their cohort.

A proactive policing operation led by officers in the city centre has seen vehicle crime in cark parks significantly reduce over a sustained 12-month period.
GMP has stepped up activity in Manchester’s Northern Quarter as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, responding directly to concerns raised by residents and businesses.
Neighbourhood officers have dismantled two cannabis farms after acting on community intelligence, as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action.
Shoplifting

We are targeting shoplifting offences and other retail crime. We will prioritise offences against retail workers and take action against offenders. We will be working closely with the our partners and the retail industry to provide crime prevention advice and obtain Criminal Behaviour Orders for prolific offenders - giving local retailers and police more robust powers to tackle shoplifting

Anti-social behaviour and drug use around the Chorlton Water Park area.

We are proactively targeting reports of ASB and drug use across Chorlton/Chorlton Park. There are dedicated officers for this during peak times on evenings and weekends. We will continue to remain visible in this area whilst working alongside our partners to ensure referrals and diversionary work is completed with these individuals at an early stage
