Retail crime and Shoplifting
Your local neighbourhood officers will be targeting shoplifting offences and other retail crime in the town centre through high visibility policing. We will prioritise offences against retail workers and take action against offenders. We will be working closely with the retailers and management teams to provide crime prevention advice and obtain Criminal Behaviour Orders for prolific offenders - giving local retailers and police more robust powers to tackle shoplifting
Drug Dealing
Your local neighbourhood team will be targeting reports of Drug Dealing across the town centre. There are dedicated officers for this during peak times on evenings and weekends. We will continue to remain visible in this area whilst working alongside our partners to ensure referrals and diversionary work is completed with these individuals at an early stage.
