Inspector Matt Christian joined the police service in 2017 and has dedicated his career to frontline policing. With a strong background in Response Policing, he has consistently served on the front line, demonstrating a deep commitment to community safety and public service.
Now serving as the Neighbourhood Inspector for Salford, Matt brings a unique and personal perspective to the role, having grown up in the area himself. His local roots provide him with a strong understanding of the city’s diverse communities and the challenges they face. He works closely with local partners and residents to ensure Salford remains a safe place to live, work, and study.
Matt prides himself on delivering the highest standard of service to the communities he serves. He is passionate about listening to local concerns and driving meaningful improvements that enhance people’s lives. Increased patrols of both plain clothes and high visibility officers, to proactively tackle drug dealers, in the areas reported. Intelligence is regularly reviewed for Drug related warrants, to be executed.
