Inspector Daniel Welch has dedicated over 23 years to frontline policing, with a career rooted in community-focused work and operational leadership. He began his service in Thames Valley Police, transferring to Greater Manchester Police in 2007.
Inspector Welch has gained experience in response, neighbourhood policing, CID, proactive and covert teams and later in prevention via problem solving, where he developed a strong understanding of local crime patterns and community needs.
His leadership journey continued with a promotion to Sergeant on a Wigan response team, Wigan Neighbourhood Team and a prisoner processing team at Bolton. He later moved to Salford, serving as a Response Sergeant, then Neighbourhood Inspector on two other council areas.
Inspector Welch now serves as the Neighbourhood Inspector for Salford Central, where he works closely with residents, businesses, and partner agencies to build safer, stronger communities. Inspector Welch is known for his approachable style, commitment to problem-solving, and passion for making a positive difference in the lives of those he serves.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 19 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for Claremont, Weaste and Seedley. My role involves working with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to address crime, anti-social behaviour and other issues affecting the local community.
My current priorities include tackling retail crime, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence through visible neighbourhood policing. I regularly attend engagement events and community meetings and work closely with partner organisations to identify and resolve local issues.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 3 and a half years and currently work as a Neighbourhood Officer covering the Weaste, Seedley and Claremont areas of Salford. My role involves working closely with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to address crime, anti-social behaviour and issues that impact community safety and confidence.
My current priorities include tackling anti-social behaviour, preventing burglary and acquisitive crime, and supporting vulnerable members of our community. I am committed to visible neighbourhood policing and regularly engage with residents through community meetings, local events and targeted patrols. I encourage people to speak with me, share their concerns and work with us to help make our neighbourhoods safer places to live, work and visit.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for three years and currently work as the Neighbourhood Officer for Weaste, Salford. My role involves working closely with residents, businesses, and partner agencies to address community concerns and improve local safety.
My current priorities include tackling shoplifting, drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour, while also focusing on longer-term problem solving to address persistent issues. I work closely with key local partners, including Salford Royal Hospital, West One Retail Park and Buile Hill Park, to identify and tackle concerns affecting the area.
I regularly attend community events and engagement meetings and encourage residents to share their concerns so we can work together to make Weaste a safer place to live, work and visit.

I am a fully operational Police Constable with Greater Manchester Police, currently serving on the Neighbourhood Central Team 2 in Pendleton, Salford. Having joined the organisation five years ago, I have spent the last three years working in neighbourhood policing, supporting the communities of Duchy and Claremont.
My role is centred on reducing crime, addressing community concerns, and helping residents feel safe in the areas where they live and work. I gather and develop intelligence to identify emerging issues and support effective policing strategies. I also work closely with partner agencies, including local authorities, schools, housing providers, and support services, to tackle complex and persistent problems.
By focusing on long-term solutions, crime prevention, and community engagement, I aim to build public confidence in policing, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to creating safer neighbourhoods for all residents.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for over eight years, currently work as a Police Community Support Officer. During my service, I have worked across several wards currently Weaste & Seedley and Claremont and Duchy, developing strong relationships with residents, partners and community groups.
Community engagement is a key part of my role, and I regularly visit schools, faith settings, housing providers and local organisations to address concerns, gather intelligence and build trust. I organise and promote police surgeries, encouraging meaningful engagement with local policing.
