Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of local police officers and staff dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of police officers and a dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). These are supported by additional officers and staff from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on the basics: to fight, prevent and reduce crime, whilst keeping people safe and caring for victims.
If you want to receive regular updates about what we're doing in your area, want to contact us easily with your feedback, or receive alerts about incidents, you can sign up to our community alerts system. You'll receive emails or text messages about the issues you tell us you want to know about.

Illegal use of Electric & Combustion Type Off Road Bikes on the Highway and Public Spaces

This issue was raised again at the last Area Committee Meeting. Officers are collating intelligence in regard to Anti-Social Behaviour linked to illegal off-road motorbikes in the area and are proactively patrolling hotspot areas during their shift. In addition, we are seeking Warrants using information provided by residents.

Residential Burglary / Vehicle Theft

The team have been carrying visits in areas were there has been a burglary and will canvas the area to provide residence with crime prevention advice, and carry out reassurance visits. This is a specific Evidence Based Policing approach, tactics that we have not tried before.

Dealing with speeding in High Lane

Through conversations with residents at the Residents meeting, Police Surgeries and through information provided from Councillors and members from the Community Speedwatch - Local officers are now working along side the Community Speedwatch volunteers in order to deal with persistent speeding vehicles .
