The Denton South Neighbourhood Policing Team is responding to a rise in residential burglaries and vehicle thefts, practically within Haughton Green. These crimes have caused significant concern among residents, prompting the team to increase their presence in affected areas. Officers are conducting regular patrols, offering crime prevention advice, and working with local neighbourhood watch groups to enhance security.
In addition, the team is working closely with the wider community to tackle drug-related activity. Officers have intensified stop-and-search operations in the areas most affected and are carrying out plain-clothed patrols, resulting in a significant rise in detection and arrests for drug-related offences.
