I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 17 years and currently lead neighbourhood policing across North and East Tameside. My role is to ensure our neighbourhood teams remain effective, visible and focused on tackling crime, anti-social behaviour and the issues causing the greatest harm to local communities.
I work closely with frontline officers, partner agencies and analysts to identify crime patterns, understand emerging trends and direct resources where they can have the greatest impact. My focus is on problem solving, targeting repeat offenders and ensuring our teams are focused on the issues that matter most to residents. By using intelligence, evidence and local knowledge, we aim to prevent crime, reduce anti-social behaviour and make our communities safer.
As a Neighbourhood Sergeant for Tameside East area, I manage a team of neighbourhood officers and PCSOs.
Our focus is on collaborating with the local community to identify and address long-term issues impacting our neighbourhoods. My team and I work closely with local residents, businesses, and partner agencies to combat crime and reduce anti-social behaviour. Currently, our priorities include addressing concerns related to anti-social behaviour, E-bikes and substance misuse.
I am dedicated to ensuring that officers are visible within their communities and actively engaged in tackling the issues identified that impact local residents most.
Community engagement is a key priority, and I strive to foster strong relationships with everyone in our area to create a safer and more cohesive environment. I would encourage anyone to speak with myself or my team at community events, meetings or whilst out on patrol.
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 5 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for Mossley. My day-to-day role involves working closely with residents, and local businesses to proactively tackle local issues and to prevent criminality. I also work with partner agencies including the council and Housing, to support local residents and to make Mossley a safer place for all.
My current priorities include tackling drug use and drug dealing, as well as tackling anti-social behaviour and retail crime. This is done by executing warrants, being a visible presence in the area and by taking positive action where necessary.
I regularly attend community meetings and engagement events to understand what matters to residents.
I encourage residents, businesses, and visitors to speak with me at local events and share any concerns so that we can work together to improve Mossley.
I have been a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) serving the Mossley community since June 2007.
With extensive experience in neighbourhood policing, I work closely with residents, local partners, and community organizations to address local concerns, tackle anti-social behaviour, and support vulnerable people.
I am committed to being visible and approachable within the community and believe that strong partnerships are essential to effective neighbourhood policing.
I encourage residents to speak with me about any concerns or issues so that we can work together to keep Mossley a safe and welcoming place to live and work.
