Hello, I’m Inspector Jamie Jeffries and I am part of the North Trafford Neighbourhood Team. We cover Old Trafford, Longford, Gorse Hill, Stretford, Davyhulme, Urmston, Flixton and Partington.
I was born and brought up in Trafford (Sale) and attended Sale Grammar School, later completing my A levels at South Trafford College.
I began my Police career in 2009 where I was based in Stockport as a brand new student officer. I have spent the majority of my 16 years in GMP on response teams as a Constable, Sergeant and Inspector. I have now been working in Trafford for just under 3 years and I am excited to be part of this Neighbourhood Team.
I’m passionate about working with you to make our community a safe place to live and work, for people to visit and for our children to grow. Through effective problem-solving and good partnership working I am confident we can make this happen.
My team of Sergeants, Constables and Police Community Support Officers are working day and night to ensure that our community thrives and will continue to try and resolve the issues in our community.
Throughout the year you will see notices for community meetings which I would welcome you to attend. Coming together regularly will enable us to work together, in partnership, as a community, to reduce anti-social behaviour, reduce crime and allow us to address any concerns you raise.
On these pages you can find the priorities in our area that we continue to work on. We will update these priorities with the action we have taken to remedy them.
We cannot do this without you, so we have launched an alert system called Bee in the loop which will enable us to contact you directly about these priorities. It will also enable you to speak to officers on the ground, where you live, so you can tell us what matters most to you.
You can sign up here. www.beeintheloop.co.uk
If this isn’t for you, you can also see our scheduled meetings, as mentioned above, where you will get to speak to an officer directly.
I look forward to working with you all in the future.

Sergeant - North Trafford Neighbourhood Team
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 8 years and currently lead the North Trafford Neighbourhood Team as a Sergeant. My role involves working closely with residents, businesses, schools, community groups and partner agencies to tackle the issues that matter most to local people and improve community safety.
My current responsibilities include addressing knife crime, anti-social behaviour, drug-related issues and neighbour disputes, alongside supporting long-term problem solving and safeguarding vulnerable members of our communities. I am committed to delivering visible neighbourhood policing and ensuring that concerns raised by residents are listened to and acted upon.
I firmly believe that strong communities are built through trust, communication and partnership. By engaging with people from all backgrounds and bringing communities together, we can work collectively to make North Trafford a safer, stronger and more connected place to live, work and visit.
I encourage all members of our community to get involved, attend local engagement events and share their concerns, ideas and priorities. Together with Greater Manchester Police, we can continue to build safer neighbourhoods and stronger community relationships.
PC EVANS
Neighbourhood Officer – Stretford
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 3 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for Stretford. My role is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety.
My current focus includes knife crime, anti-social behaviour and supporting long-term problem solving within the community.
I am particularly interested in engaging with local residents about issues that matter to them. Please get in touch with any neighbourhood meetings or engagement events, I am happy to support and assist.
PC Hannah Colwell.
Neighbourhood Officer – Stretford Town Centre and Stretford.
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 5 years, and I currently work as the neighbourhood beat officer for Stretford Town Centre, and Stretford.
My role is to work closely with the community, local businesses, and partner agencies, to address local concerns and improve community safety. My current priorities include anti-social behaviour, crime prevention, and supporting long-term problem solving within the community.
My ability to tackle the issues that matter most to the community, is largely dependent on the information that the community shares with us. I encourage members of the community to share information and raise concerns through all available reporting systems, and to attend local meetings held by my colleagues and I, where you can speak with us face-to-face. This will help us to make our neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.
You can also sign up to our free Greater Manchester Police community alert system, Bee in the Loop. Signing up to Bee in the Loop will allow you to receive crime prevention advice, local information, and updates about incidents in your area.
