Hello, I’m Inspector Jamie Jeffries and I am part of the North Trafford Neighbourhood Team. We cover Old Trafford, Longford, Gorse Hill, Stretford, Davyhulme, Urmston, Flixton and Partington.
I was born and brought up in Trafford (Sale) and attended Sale Grammar School, later completing my A levels at South Trafford College.
I began my Police career in 2009 where I was based in Stockport as a brand new student officer. I have spent the majority of my 16 years in GMP on response teams as a Constable, Sergeant and Inspector. I have now been working in Trafford for just under 3 years and I am excited to be part of this Neighbourhood Team.
I’m passionate about working with you to make our community a safe place to live and work, for people to visit and for our children to grow. Through effective problem-solving and good partnership working I am confident we can make this happen.
My team of Sergeants, Constables and Police Community Support Officers are working day and night to ensure that our community thrives and will continue to try and resolve the issues in our community.
Throughout the year you will see notices for community meetings which I would welcome you to attend. Coming together regularly will enable us to work together, in partnership, as a community, to reduce anti-social behaviour, reduce crime and allow us to address any concerns you raise.
On these pages you can find the priorities in our area that we continue to work on. We will update these priorities with the action we have taken to remedy them.
We cannot do this without you, so we have launched an alert system called Bee in the loop which will enable us to contact you directly about these priorities. It will also enable you to speak to officers on the ground, where you live, so you can tell us what matters most to you.
You can sign up here. www.beeintheloop.co.uk
If this isn’t for you, you can also see our scheduled meetings, as mentioned above, where you will get to speak to an officer directly.
I look forward to working with you all in the future.
