Hello, I’m Inspector Jamie Jeffries and I am part of the North Trafford Neighbourhood Team. We cover Old Trafford, Longford, Gorse Hill, Stretford, Davyhulme, Urmston, Flixton and Partington.
I was born and brought up in Trafford (Sale) and attended Sale Grammar School, later completing my A levels at South Trafford College.
I began my Police career in 2009 where I was based in Stockport as a brand new student officer. I have spent the majority of my 16 years in GMP on response teams as a Constable, Sergeant and Inspector. I have now been working in Trafford for just under 3 years and I am excited to be part of this Neighbourhood Team.
I’m passionate about working with you to make our community a safe place to live and work, for people to visit and for our children to grow. Through effective problem-solving and good partnership working I am confident we can make this happen.
My team of Sergeants, Constables and Police Community Support Officers are working day and night to ensure that our community thrives and will continue to try and resolve the issues in our community.
Throughout the year you will see notices for community meetings which I would welcome you to attend. Coming together regularly will enable us to work together, in partnership, as a community, to reduce anti-social behaviour, reduce crime and allow us to address any concerns you raise.
On these pages you can find the priorities in our area that we continue to work on. We will update these priorities with the action we have taken to remedy them.
We cannot do this without you, so we have launched an alert system called Bee in the loop which will enable us to contact you directly about these priorities. It will also enable you to speak to officers on the ground, where you live, so you can tell us what matters most to you.
You can sign up here. www.beeintheloop.co.uk
If this isn’t for you, you can also see our scheduled meetings, as mentioned above, where you will get to speak to an officer directly.
I look forward to working with you all in the future.

Neighbourhood Officer – North Trafford
I have served with Greater Manchester Police for nearly 25 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for the North of Trafford. My role involves working with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to address crime, anti-social behaviour and other issues affecting the local community.
My current priorities include tackling retail crime, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence through visible neighbourhood policing. I regularly attend engagement events and community meetings and work closely with partner organisations to identify and resolve local issues.
I encourage residents to speak with me at local events and share any concerns so we can work together to improve the area.
PC Alice Cunliffe
Neighbourhood Officer | Urmston
Hi, I'm Alice and I'm a Neighbourhood Police Officer covering the Urmston area. I've been with Greater Manchester Police for four years and really enjoy working within the local community. I feel fortunate to serve an area with such a strong community spirit and take pride in being a visible and approachable officer for local residents.
What I enjoy most about the job is meeting people from all walks of life and knowing that even small actions can make a real difference to someone's day. If you see me out and about in Urmston, please don't hesitate to stop and say hello.
I look forward to continuing to work with the community and helping to keep Urmston a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
