Today (Saturday 26 October 2024), local Bury detectives have secured a charge from an incident earlier this week where an arrest was initially made.
A Judge today, Friday 25 October 2024 at Manchester Crown Court, ordered that the five men be sentenced to over 20 years for drugs, firearms and counterfeit currency offences. The men were subject to two Oldham Challenger investigations codenamed Operation Toulon and Operation Backbone.
Officers continue their investigation into a firearms discharge on Silver Street in Bury and are now in a position in their enquiries to appeal to the public to locate witnesses who may have seen anything in the area.
An arrest has been made and an investigation is underway following the stabbing of a man in the St John’s Court area of Radcliffe.
