You don’t have to be a police officer to be in the police. At GMP we’re a team of over 12,000 individuals with different skills and abilities, all working together to be the difference.
Our contact management team responds to two million calls each year, which includes over 1700 calls to 999 every day. Join our team and you’ll be the first voice they hear when calling for help.

Roles in our Force Contact Centre are far more than your average 9-5. They are varied and exciting jobs – truly on the front line of the front line, protecting police officers and members of the public.
Specific qualifications are not needed to apply, and it’s not essential to be young and fit either. More important are your communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills – and a desire to make a difference.
