Today (Monday 19 October 2026) a man has been sentenced at Bolton Crown Court following a campaign of rape and controlling and coercive behaviour against three different women between 2018 and 2025.

In the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 13 October), officers received several reports of a man attempting to open car doors on Clyde Street, Brownlow Way, and Faraday Drive in the Halliwell area of Bolton.

A man has been charged with murder.

A murder investigation has been launched by officers in our Major Incident Team (MIT) after a person sadly died at an address on Bryngs Drive in Bolton.

This evening (Saturday 19 September 2026) while out on dedicated proactive patrol in the city centre, our officers located missing Lillia.
Hulton currently has a high amount of vehicles speeding, parking in dangerous positions and committing ASB. This is an ongoing issue and will remain a priority for roads such as St Helens Road.
Local Neighbourhood Officers are targeting vehicles in this area ensuring they are driving at the correct speeds and not blocking road when parking.
ASB is a common issue in all areas however this is a specific target for officers in the Hulton area. Areas of note include the Sutton Estate and the Eldercot Park area.
Officers are increasing patrols in hotspot ASB areas and are engaging with the local community to hear their issues,
Numerous issues of ASB and Drugs around the Georgina Court area.
Work ongoing with housing to engage with residents and deal with offenders in the area.
