I have worked for Greater Manchester Police for 10 years, starting as an apprentice member of staff, being a Police Constable for over 4 years and now a Police Sergeant for close to 3 years.
I have worked as part of neighbourhood teams in the past as staff and spent my officer career focusing on Response Policing. I have recently spent time as the Police Sergeant in the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, specialising in Burglaries, Robberies and Vehicle Crime across Bolton.
The local community is very important to me and I want to focus on the long term problems in Rumworth and Hulton that are affecting the residents.
Hello, my name is Chris Chadwick and I am one of the Neighbourhood Officers, covering the area of Hulton.
I have been with Greater Manchester Police for last five and a half years. Prior to me becoming a police officer with GMP, I worked in Communications for Lancashire Police and held that role for nearly four years.
I started my career with GMP as a Response Officer in Bolton and I worked on response for four years. I moved to the Rumworth and Hulton Neighbourhood Team in April 2024 and I have really enjoyed my new role so far. I wanted to the Neighbourhood Team because although I enjoyed my role on Response, I really wanted to get to know the people of Bolton a lot better and hopefully held resolve community priorities. I really like seeing jobs through from start to finish and on neighbourhood this allows me to do that. It is my aim to make sure that Hulton is a safer place for you all to be in.
Hopefully I will see you around Hulton when I am on patrol and feel free to come and say hello.
Hello, my name is Simon Ratcliffe. I am one of the Police Community Support Officers for the Hulton Neighbourhood Police team.
I joined GMP in 2009 and originally worked in Kearsley, before moving onto Great Lever were I worked for 15 years. For the past 18 months I have been working on the Hulton area.
I really enjoy working with the Community and Partnership teams to help to solve ASB issues. In the past this has resulted in the installation of double yellow lines to solve parking issues, fencing and window locks to protect vulnerable residents in sheltered housing and gating to prevent Off Road bikes causing annoyance to residents. I have also worked with residents to clean up their park areas, to reduce ASB. I have set up Neighbourhood Watch schemes and have regularly held Police Surgeries. By working closely with the Community over the years, I have received information, leading to Warrants for Cannabis Farms . I especially like dealing with Traffic issues, and I have seized Numerous Vehicles over the years. I really enjoy working on this area, and care about your issues ,and I will try to make it, a better and safer place to live.
I am PC 08287 Morris. You can contact me directly via email [email protected]
