‘You Said, We Did’
Over the last few months your Besses, Whitefield and Unsworth Neighbourhood Officers have been completing successful Op Halt traffic operations where we stopped over 150 vehicles in last 3 months with multiple traffic offence reports submitted keeping the streets of Besses, Whitefield and Unsworth safe from illegal drivers and others who fail to adhere to the road traffic legislations and which has resulted in multiple vehicle seizures and drivers reported for various offences.
We have also held several school visits to highlight the importance in tackling drug and knife crime in the Besses, Whitefield and Unsworth areas.
We have plans in place to complete further community days at schools across the area where partners from multiple agencies will again be involved. Dates TBC following the successful days at Sunnybank Primary School and St Michaels Church in Besses.We are also working closely with various housing associations to monitor residents who breach tenancy contracts to give residents the reassurance of living in a comfortable setting free from ASB/YCA.
