This evening (Tuesday 26 May 2026), officers from Counter Terrorism Policing North West, alongside Greater Manchester Police, executed a warrant in Salford
David Smith (11/09/1976) of Curzon Road, Salford, has been charged with three further counts of dangerous driving.
David Smith (11/09/1976) of Curzon Street, Mossley has been charged with five counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving.
Officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for information following an incident on the M61 on Friday 8 May 2026.

Your local neighbourhood officers will be targeting shoplifting offences and other retail crime in the town centre through high visibility policing. We will prioritise offences against retail workers and take action against offenders. We will be working closely with the retailers and management teams to provide crime prevention advice and obtain Criminal Behaviour Orders for prolific offenders - giving local retailers and police more robust powers to tackle shoplifting
