As we move into 2026, our priority is to ensure you feel safe in the communities where you live and work. Over the coming year, we will be focusing on the following five key themes:
Reducing burglary
Dealing robustly with drug use and supply
Promoting and enforcing safety on our roads
Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour
Tackling violent crime
The final two priorities—Anti-Social Behaviour and Violent Crime—are particularly relevant following a recent rise in incidents within Wigan Town Centre over the past three months.
These priorities will be refined and expanded with more specific actions following our Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings on 02/04/26.
