Neighbourhood Officer – Scholes.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 25 years and currently work as the neighborhood officer for Wigan Town Centre and the wider Scholes and Ince neighborhoods.

My role involves working with residents, local businesses / organisations and partner agencies, in particular the council community resilience team, to address crime, anti-social behavior, and other issues affecting the local community.

My current priorities include reducing anti-social behavior through enforcement of local public space protection orders, targeting substance abuse and criminal exploitation of vulnerable persons and improving overall community confidence through visible neighborhood policing.

Neighbourhood Officer – Wigan Town Centre

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 9 years and with the last 4 years as a Neighbourhood officer working the Wigan town centre beat.

My role is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns and improve community safety.

My current focus includes tackling retail crime, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence, along with supporting long-term problem solving within the community.

I work with local partners to tackle the issues that matter most to residents and encourage members of the community to attend local meetings and share their concerns so that together we can help make our neighbourhood a safer place to live, work and visit.

I have served with Greater Manchester Police for 5 years and currently work as the neighbourhood officer for Wigan Town Centre.

My role involves working with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to address crime, anti-social behaviour and other issues affecting the local community.

My current priorities include tackling retail crime, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence through visible neighbourhood policing. I work closely with partner organisations to identify and resolve local issues within my neighbourhood.

I encourage residents to speak with me at local events or when they see me out and about on patrol so they can share any concerns so that we can work together to improve the area.

I am currently the Neighbourhood Officer for Scholes and also assist on the Ince and Wigan Town Centre beats.
I have been a police officer for 22 years and the last 7 have been as a Neighbourhood Officer.

My current priorities include tackling county lines drug dealing, reducing anti-social behaviour and improving community confidence through visible neighbourhood policing. I regularly attend engagement events and community meetings and work closely with partner organisations to identify and resolve local issues.

My name is Michelle Ashurst, and I am a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) working within the Wigan Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team.

I have proudly served Greater Manchester Police for 19 years, building strong relationships with residents, businesses, and partner agencies across the town centre.

My current responsibilities include neighbourhood patrols, addressing community concerns, supporting crime prevention initiatives, and helping to resolve local issues that impact those who live, work, and visit Wigan. I am passionate about engaging with the community, listening to local people, and working collaboratively to make Wigan town centre a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.

I have been a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) with Greater Manchester Police for 17 years, serving the communities of Wigan with dedication and commitment. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with local residents, partner agencies, and community groups to address issues affecting neighbourhood safety and quality of life.

I am currently based in the Ince area of Wigan, where I focus on building strong relationships within the community, tackling anti-social behaviour, providing reassurance to residents, and supporting crime prevention initiatives. My experience and local knowledge allow me to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, helping to make Ince a safer and more connected community.
Over the years, I have developed a strong understanding of the challenges facing local communities and remain committed to delivering a visible, approachable, and professional policing presence.

I am Eleanor Taylor, I am Police Community Support Officer with nine years of service, I currently working on the Scholes neighbourhood team.

My role involves providing a visible and reassuring presence within the community by addressing local concerns, tackling anti-social behaviour, whilst working closely with partner agencies to support local policing priorities.

I am passionate about community engagement and building positive relationships with residents, businesses, schools, and community groups.

By listening to concerns and working together to solve local issues. I strive to ensure people feel supported, informed, and connected to their local policing team, helping to make Scholes a safe, welcoming for everyone.
